WAGES NOT INCREASED.
LABOUR COUNCIL'S PLAINT. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) DUNEDIN, this day. Claiming that the Otago Employers' Association organisation, with a membership of some 'Xi'.i employers, firms and unions of employers, is doing its utmost to prevent employers granting any increase in wages to their workers, irrespective of whether those employers are in a position to do so or not, the Otago Trades and Labour Council has addressed a long letter to the Prime Minister, Mr. Forbes, on the subject. The letter urges the need for reinvesting the Arbitration Court with its old powers.
