PRINCE ON HOLIDAY.

Ski-ing and Yodelling in Tyrol Alps BREAKING CONVENTIONS. LONDON", February 10. The Kitzbuehl correspondent of the "Daily Mail" states that the Prince of Wales, wearing a very smart kit, is practising ski-ing under an English instructor with such persistency that experts think he will be a skilled performer by the end of his fortnight's visit to the Austrian Tyrol. Already His Royal Highness is particularly strong on turns. Also he is interested in yodelling. This he attempted at a small cafe, which is a favourite centre for it. Under the tutelage of three Austrian girls he attained a certain proficiency. Another message states that the Prince, wearing a Tyrolean costume, was the most popular figure at a picturesque ball, where at his suggestion, dress clothes were forbidden and fancy or local costumes were obligatory. The guests included the Infanta Maria Christina of Spain, and the violinist Kreisler. Features were a costume parade and a yodellers' chorus in honour of His Royal Highness' recent acquisition of that art. The Prince has set the fashion of never dressing for dinner. He says he desires the township to retain its character as a simple winter sports resort.
