WOOL TRADE.
LONDON SALES.
DELAYED THROUGH FOG.
OPENING DAY PRICES. (Received 10 a.nf.) LONDON, November 21. Tlie wool sales were postponed owing to fog. The following cable lias been received by the New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency from its London office under date November 20: —
"There was a good attendance at the opening of the sale to-day, competition by Home and Continental buyers being good. Prices as compared with the close of the preceding series ruled in buyers' favour for scoured Merino and fine crossbred. Prices are about the same for greasy Merino. Pieces are higher, par to id per lb, for medium and coarse greasy crossbred and scoured crossbred. The opening catalogues were representative. Home buyers are the principal operators."
