AFTER-DEGREE DANCE.

UNIVERSITY COLLEGE.

Tlie after-degree dance and presentations of "blues" of the Auckland University College was held in the College Hall last evening, and was one of the brightest and most enjoyable functions of the season. In the women s common room, where supper was served, bowls of double stock in all shades of pink were used in profusion, and lug 11 vases of sweet peas added exquisite colouring. In the absence of the chairman of the committee, Mr. J. N. Wilson, the college "blues" were presented by Mr. E. P. Haslam, president of the Students' Association, assisted by the woman vice-president, Miss E. I.

Warren. The winners of the "blues were: — Misses M. Deighton, G. Gardner, P. Norris, M. Pettit, J: Rennie, J. Stitch - bury, M. Shaw, basketball; E. KingMason, McMurray, Witten, Hall, hockey; G. Gardner, R. Taylor, tennis; J. Armstrong, swimming.
