Mr. Lansbury Declines to Accede To Cabinet Request.

It is officially explained that no significance attaches to the Cabinet's request that former Ministers and the executors of deceased Ministers should return Cabinet documents. The request was not connected with the publication of memoirs, but was inspired by the possibility of documents falling into the wrong hands. There have been instances of documents finding their way to bookstalls.
