PAPATOETOE CLUB
At the presentation of tropliies to members of the I'apatoetoe Amateur Athletic 'anil Cycling Club, the president. Mr. R. MacLeod, said members had earned distincj t.ion in provincial meetings and had been {successful in winning the Wilson Cup in (the annual Oneliunga to Auckland harriers I race. The club's distance runner, J. Valuer, competed in the Dominion championships at bunedin and was the first Auckland runner to complete the course. C. Littler won the Auckland provincial junior cross'country championship. The club's team I secured second place in tlie 10-nien team cross-countiy race at Lynndale, and the cycling team won the road racing provincial championship. The executive expressed its appreciation of tlie splendid backing ana enthusiasm, displayed by the competitive members. Trophy winners : — Harriers.—Club championship, J. Valder : runner-up. C. Littler; points championship (Distar Cup), I!. French ; runncrs-up, C. Francis and K. Mckenzie equal, S. Andrews 3. Last season's winner, E. Wagstaff, was presented with a miniature of the trophy. Cycling.—Auckland provincial championship team, S. Pinfold, D. N. Pinfold, O. White, and K. Francis: club championship and winner of Tradesmen's Cup, L. Foubister; runner-up, S. Pinfold; points championship, It. Alexander and It. Francis equal 1, M. Kara 2; Leader Cycle Cup, L. Yessey.
KIWI LADIES' CLUB. The Kiwi Ladies' Amateur Athletic Club is celebrating its first year of active competition by reporting greatly increased membership. The club is now firmly on its feet, thanks to the efforts of Messrs. V. Hugo and H. Robinson, and will hold its annual meeting on Wednesday evening at 41, Albert Street. As ladies' events are to be included in the scratch racing programme adopted by the Auckland Centre, the girls will have ample racing.
