"The Times" correspondent at Bombay states that the inauguration of the Royal Indian Navy was celebrated when Vi r eAdmiral Walwyn read the KingEmperor's approval of the change ; Ji name. Indian crews fired a salute of 31. guns, to which the shore batteriss at Bombay and Karachi replied. All the Indian Navy vessels, consisting of five sloops, two patrol boate, a survey ship and a mine trawler, participated in the ceremonies.
