Miss Minoprio Has a Win in
Dress Reform.
BUT LOSES HER MATCH. (Received 2 p.m.) LONDON, October 2. Miss Gloria Minoprio's example of wearing trousers is being followed by many competitors in the English women's golf championship, although drenching rain was an excuse for the appearance of numerous waterproof trousered suits.
Miss Minoprio, Who created a sensation in the first round yesterday by tho unique performance of winning her match against Miss Betty Somerville, although using only one club, did not to-day maintain her success against Miss Mary Johnson, last year's runner-up, and was defeated 7 and 6.
