In answering a knock on the door late on Friday night, Mr. R. Goddin. draper, was confronted by a youth who had a scarf drawn over his face and held a barrel-shaped object in his hand. The youth ordered, "Stick them up," but Mr. Goddin closed with him.

The intruder, however, escaped, dropping the weapon, which proved to be of bamboo. It is understood that a 17-year-old youth will appear before the Court on Monday as the result of police investigations.
