SKI COUNCIL'S DECISION. Representatives from ten clubs attended tlie annual meeting of the Ski Council of the Federated -Mountain Clubs of New Zealand. The use of the name grand national championships for the ski-ing meeting held at .Mount Cook in August was the subject of comment. The chairman, Mr. F. W. Vosseler, said the only official championships were those being controlled by the ski council at Mount Ruapehu. Probably thei-e had been no deliberate attempt to mislead, as the meeting referred to was held about the same time as the Grand National race carnival. It was decided to hold' the next New Zealand ski championships at Mount Cook. Ski-coaching films are to be obtained from the ski clubs of Great Britain. All present offi-ce-bearers were re-elected.
