LAND SETTLEMENT.
ROTARY CLUB ADDRESS,
The speaker at the Auckland Rotary Club's weekly luncheon to-day was Dr. N". E. Annett, who addressed the gathering on "Land Settlement Schemes and Their Finance."
The fall in the prices of agricultural products-had not only reduced the prices of land, said Dr. Annett, but had improved agricultural methods, only those farmers who could cut down overhead expenses, eliminate waste and manage their farms efficiently being able to survive. Ho considered, therefore, that agriculture would revive much sooner than most people expected, and the present was a good time for new settlers to take up land.
