STRUCK BY TRAIN.
DRIVER WITHOUT LICENSE.
At thn sitting .of the Onehunga Police Court this morning, before Mr. W. R. McKean, S.M., David Elder was fined 20/ nml costs for attempting to cross the railway line on June 15, and for not having a driver's license. Sergeant Brown stated that when Elder attempted to drive a milk van over the line at Church .Street in the afternoon it was struck by the train. Accused explained that he was acting for the regular driver and that was why he did not have a license.
