ALLEGED THEFT.
LABOURER REMANDED. When Ernest Bertrand Rliind, aged 18, a labourer, was charged before Mr. F. K. Hunt, S.M., in the Police Court this morning with breaking and entering by day the shop of Smiths, Ltd., at 187, Parnell Road, and stealing a quantity of cigarettes, chocolates, razor blades, matches and sweets, of a total value of £2 7/8, Senior Detective Hall asked the Court to amend the amount in the charge to £23 10/5. Accused was remanded until June 7.
