CHRISTCHURCH, this day.
The police indicated in the Magistrate's Court to-day that five more charges would be preferred against the young men alleged to have been concerned in breaking and entering premises at the north end of the city, all the charges being fairly serious. The information received by the police shows that in one case £130 worth of jewellery was stolen. This morning Ronald Dempsey Crook, 22, Arthur Cecil Spence, 21, and a boy aged 16 were charged with theft from a house in Tui Street. All were remanded until June 5.
