LEAGUE FOOTBALL.
MARIST OLD BOYS' CLUB.
The annual meeting of the Marist Old Boys' Rugby League Club was held last evening, nearly one hundred members and players gathering at the Auckland Rugby Beague board room. Mr. J. Johnson presided in the absence of the president, Mr. E. Lahman.
The report stated that though the club has not been as successful as formerly in winning the championship and trophies, the season had been good from a financial point of view. The seniors annexed the Thistle Cup and had defeated the St. George team from Sydney. The junior tcajns had revealed consistently highgrade form, the third open winning the "double," whilst the third intermediates, with a similar record, had earned the congratulations of the junior management committee. The fourth A side won the championship and knock-out, the B team being runners-up. The club was In a healthy financial condition, the gum in credit at the bank having been capitalised.
Officers were elected as follow:—Patron, the Rev. I)r. Liston, Bishop of Auckland; president, Mr. E. Ealiman; secretary, Mr. J. Kirwan; treasurer, Mr. Robinson; club captain, Mr. X. Herring; executive, Messrs. O. Cronin, W. Hassan; E. Poster, P. Webberley, H. Duane, J. Johnson, Merv. Campbell ; auditors, Messrs. D. Mullavey and P. Fletcher; junior management delegate, Mr. 1). Mullaney; senior selector and coach, pro tem., Mr. <J. J. Gregory; vicepresidents (with many new nominations) were re-elected.
It was decided to hold a preliminary practice at Carlaw Park on Saturday and to start official training on Tuesday evening. '
