JUNIOR MANAGEMENT BOARD.

MORRINSVILLE SUB-TJNION. PEACE CUP BRINGS PROFIT. A balance-sheet showing a profit of £102 on the 11)33 season and cash in the bank totalling £101 was presented at the annual meeting of the Morrinsville Rugby SubUnion on Wednesday. Mr. D. R. P. Campbell, who presided, said the strong financial position of the union was due to the holding of the Peace Challenge Cup for the whole of last season. He congratulated the union on the success of its senior representatives in withstanding all challenges for the cup. Seven Morrinsville players had been selected for Waikato Union teams, and one of them, J. Leeuon, had been the only Waikato man in the North Island team. Officers elected :—Patron, Mr. W. French; management committee, Messrs. I). R. P. Campbell (chairman), J. H. Bain, W. Bench, R. H. Haycock, 1). J. Wright, N. P. Barker, W. Moxorn and secretary and treasurer; senior selector, Mr. J. 11. Bain; junior selector, Mr. S. Thomas; third grade selector, Mr. 0. Chase; delegates to Waikato Rugby Union, Messrs. Chapman and Melntyre. At a subsequent meeting of the management committee, it was decided to open the season on April 21, and that senior games commence at 2 p.m., instead of 2.40 p.m.

Whitton, G. Danieli, A. F. Brewer, D. C. Clarkson, W. McCready and two to be appointed by Pirongia and Tokanux Clubs. . , It was derided to established a junior advisory board, to control all games other than senior.

Williams, It was resolved to recommend to the incoming committee that the following weights be adopted for the coming season: Third grade, 11.0 to 11.7; intermediate grade, 10.4 to 10.12; fourth grade, 9.10 to 10.2; fifth grade, 0.12 to O.S; sixth grade, 0.7 to O.a The proposed limit on the weight for third grade will mean the elimination of the third open grade. Mr. Arthur Tilly was appointed as the board's representative on the management committee of the Auckland Rugby Union.

REFEREES' CONFERENCE.

The annual conference of New Zealand referees will be held in Auckland at Kaster. Advice was received to-day from Napier that Mr. C. S. Lonergan, formerly president of the Hawke's Bay Association, had been appointed its delegate to the conference. He is an Aucklander who has returned to bis native city after spending 10 years in the Cay, during which period he held executive positions on several sporting organisations.
