GAMING CHARGES.
RAID AT PUKEKOHE. MAN AND WIFE ARRESTED. (From Our Own Correspondent.) - PUKEKCIIE, Wednesday. A raid on business premises at 7S, King Street, Pukekohe, yesterday, resulted in the arrest of Leslie Robert White, aged 34, and his wife, Dorothy Pauline White, 32. They later appeared in the Pukekohe Police Court before Mr. F. 11. Levien, S.M., charged with being the occupiers of premises and using them as a common gaming-house. Upon the application of the police, and with the consent of the accused, they were remanded until March 7, bail of £50 and one surety of £.">0 being allowed in each case. A search warrant was executed, and the raia was carried out by Sergeant J. T. Cowan, Detective Moore and Constable W. Mawhinney.
