VISITING RAROTONGANS.

MEETING HOUSE WANTED. (Prom Our Own Correspondent.) GISBOKNE, this day. An interesting development in connection with the visit of the Rarotongan party to the East Coast occurred at Waiomatatini, when Jlakea Nui indicated to the Minister of Native Affairs that the carved meeting houses seen on the coast had made such a deep impression on the Islanders that they wished to establish on of their own in Rarotonga. Sir Apirana Ngata undertook to act on behalf of the Cook Islanders in the preparation of plane and the placing of orders with the Maori School of Arts and Crafts at Rotorua.

The visitors left Waiomatatini on Monday for B.uatoki, via Cape Runaway.
