NEW CONDITIONS
MEETING AND PROCESSIONS. Tiie most satisfactory method of dealing with applications for permission to hold meetings and processions in the city were outlined in the report of the legal and by-laws committee to the City Council last evening. The recommendations were adopted, and in future applicants for meetings will have to state the date, time and place of the proposed meeting, the object of the meeting, and the names of chairman and Applications for processions will require to submit the proposed date, time and route, the objcct of the procession and nature of any display connected therewith, and the'names of the people responsible for the organisation and conduct of the procession. Applications are to be made in writing at least five days before the intended gathering.
