SILVER EYEBROWS.
British films seem to be setting new world fashions. . "The Private Life of Henry VIII." put Tudor fashions on the map, in Paris and New York as well as London, and the style of hairdressing designed by Doris Zinkeison for Anna Neagle in "Bitter Sweet" has been widely adopted by the Mayfair miss. It is claimed, too, that the tubular chromium-plated furniture fashion now so popular in West End drawing rooms was first featured in the film "On Approval." Hair lacquered in any colour from sky-' blue to scarlet is likely to invade London ballrooms at New Year parties, and one's eyebrows should be done in a contrasting colour. If you favour gold lacquer for your hair, for instance, yon may have silver eyebrows, and so on. Green hair, with which a green shade of powder is used, is said to give the face a strange ethereal look, but if you go in for bright colours you must see that they harmonise with your costume. Lacquered coiffures to bo really correct should be interwoven with all sorts of gay materials to give a "Christmas tree effect."
