AUCKLANDER INJURED.
HEAVY FALL OF EARTH. (From Our Own Correspondent.) WHAKATANE, this day. A compound fracture of the right leg was suffered by Mr. R. Lucas, of Auckland, when he was cauglit by a heavy fall of earth at the new deviation work at Douglas Hill, near Wai maim. He is at present in the Whakataue Hospital.
