ATTEMPT TO CHECK CRIME. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) DUNEDLNT, this day. In the Supreme Court to-day Mr. Justice Kennedy sentenced Robert Stanlev McCausland, aged 37, married, with seven children, to two years and .six months' reformative detention for making counterfeit coins. Counsel for tlie Crown stated that tliero was a marked increase in this crime in Otago, and a large number of silver coins had been circulated, the police having over 100 in their possession. It appeared that these coins were made from 28 different moulds.
