The Ohinemuri Jockey Club's meeting held on behalf of the Taumarunui Racing Club opened at Paeroa to-day and will conclude on Saturday. Although the weather is threatening there is a good attendance and the going is excellent. A. Gilmer, rider of Cruachan, who finished second in the Handicap Hurdles, lodged a protest against F. Thompson, rider of the winner, Welcome Boy, for interference, but after hearing evidence no action was taken.
