PENNANT FINAL. TO BE PLATED THIS WEEK-END. Teams representing the Auckland and Titirangi Golf Clubs will play the final of the A grade pennant competition at the Akarana links during the week-end. Members of the Auckland Ladies' Golf Club took part In a flag match at Middlemore yesterday for a prize presented by Miss D. Lever. The competition was won by Miss C. TVells, who placed the flag on tfle 19 th fairway. GLENDOWIE CLUB. Members of the Glendowie Golf Club will play a mixed foursomes match next Saturday, players to choose partners and opponents. TITIRANGI CLUB. A bogey handicap for the captian's prize will bo played on Saturday by members of the Titirangi Golf Club. Competitors may choose partners. The winter programme will conclude on Saturday fortnight, when the usual mixed bogey foursomes will be played. TITIRANGI LADIES' CLUB. The club will close the season on Saturday with a mixed foursomes competition, commencing at 1.30 p.m. The trophies won during the season will be presented during the afternoon. MANUKAU LADIES' CLUB. A sealed-hole competition will be played to-day by members of the Manukau Ladies' Golf Club, players to choose partners. In the semi-finals of the championship, Mrs. Barnard beat Miss McDonald, 2 up; Mrs. Parker beat Mrs. Fleming, 3 and 2. The final will be played to-day. Miss Gilmore won the medal round for Saturday players with a score of 68 net. The closing day and presentation of trophies will take place next Saturday. PENGELLY N.W. CHAMPION. The Northern Wairoa Golf Club's Labour Day tournament was opened over the weekend and concluded on Labour Day. Over 20 competitors were present from all parts I of the North. .T. Pengeily (Dargaville) j won the championship, defeating Dr. M. ! Greville in the final. 3 and 2. Pengeily also won the second day's bogey handicap. The first group handic.ip was won by Noel Izznrd, who was the winner also of the bogey ronnd on the first day. The winner of the second group was B. T. Jones. W. IT. Stubbs returned the winning card in the first day's medal round and A. G. Sheen (Whangarei) was the winner of the second day's medal round. A. R. Gilliespic (Whangarei) won the trophy awarded for the best score returned in the championship qualifying round* MORTLAND'S TAIHAPE TITLE. The annual Taihape golf tournament was conducted over the week-end and Labour Day, many outsiders competing. Results:— Open Championship.—Semi-finals: J. P. Mortland beat A. S. Seccombe, 1 up • J.
