NOUGAT PASTE.
(Sent In by Phyllis Varey. 2S, St. James' Street, City.) Blanch and shred ilb almonds and brown in a cool oven. Boil Jib icing sugar with 2 tablespoonfuls lemon juice. When a golden brown colour add the almonds and boil. Pour into a buttered dish, mark into squares, and, when cold enough, divide and roll each in paper.
