JAP. SWIMMERS' VISIT UNLIKELY.
There is very little likelihood •of Japanese swimmers visiting Australia tins summer. Dudley Hellmrich, secretary X.S.YV .A.S.A., at the request of the Australian Swimming - Union, interviewed the Vice-Consul for Japan in Sydney, and a . cable was sent, but, though no reply lias been received, the Sydney official considers the youth of the boys and the necessity to attendi school will preclude their coming.
