BAND FOR "OPPY."
When Hubert Opperinan and his wife returned to Melbourne from West Austialia lccentlv, they received a. great reception at Spencer Street station from a large crowd.
A military band in attendance struck up See the Conquering Hero Comes" as "Oppv" stepped off the train, and, after the Tour de France rider had spoken o\er the air, "Carry On," the theme son rr of the 1931 Tour de France, was enthu" siastically played liy tlie bandsmen. It was a unique tribute.
