MOTORING ACCIDENT.
Mechanic's Death in Remarkable Crash. CAR'S FOUR SOMERSAULTS. (British Official Wireless.) (Received 12.30 p.m.) RUGBY, August 30. A remarkable motoring accident occurred during a practice for Saturday's Ulster Tourist Trophy race on the Ards circuit near Belfast. A small car, driven by Lieutenant Balmain, skidded when travelling at over 70 miles an hour and turned four somersaults, landing on the wheels. Lieutenant Balmain was pinned in the driving seat but was unhurt, while his mechanic, Dunkley, was thrown out and killed.
