WEIRD EXPERIENCE.
Man Nearly Drowned As Vanished Lake Reappears. IRISH PHENOMENON. (Received 9.30 a.m.) LONDON, August 30. An Irish lake which, according to tradition, disappears for a brief period every 100 years, has justified its reputation. Lough Nasuil, County Sligo, 45 acres in extent and 30 feet deep, recently vanished with its 52,000,000 cubic feet of water. It reappeared on Monday night with a loud noise. Huge quantities of water burst forth, and a man, who was walking on the bed of the lake, was just able to run ashore when the new lake formed in a few minutes.
