MR. MELTZER'S STATEMENT.
The statement was also made to-day by Mr. I. Meltzer, secretary of the Beekeepers' Inquiry Committee, that there ie no alliance between the Beekeepers' Inquiry Committee and the Auckland Chamber of Commerce. "I had no opportunity of correcting Mr. Hillary'e mis-statement regarding the Chamber of Commerce," Mr. Meltzer writes, "because the chairman ruled that I was not entitled to be present except for the purpose of presenting- my statement, after which I was compelled to retire. There is not one point raised by the Control Board in defence of their policy which has not been directly and effectively replied to by my committee. On the other hand, there is not one issue raised by my committee which has not been side-stepped and evaded by the Control Board."
