INQUIRY COMMITTEE.
COMMERCE CHAMBER I.ETTER In connection with the report of the meeting at Hamilton yesterday, the Auckland Chamber of Commerce m a letter, points out that Mr. Meitzer is not a member of the Auckland Chamber of Commerce; that no special committee of the Auckland Chamber of Commerce dealing with the honey industry is at present in existence; and that it is now approximately seven years since the Auckland Chamber of Commerce made a pronouncement on the honey -industry, but it proposes at an oarly date to redefine its policy on the subject. It is true, the secretary of the chamber states, that a deputation representing an unofficial organisation calling itself the beekeepers' inquiry committee waited on the exporters' section cornSee of the Auckland Chamber of Commerce some weeks ago, and that Mr. Meltzer was associated with this deputation. It is obvious, however, that this in no way entitles Mr. Meltzer to speak for the Auckland Chamber of Commerce.
