TAKAPUNA JOCKEY CLUB.
THE ANNUAL REPORT. A SUCCESSFUL SEASON. The report and balance-sheet, to be presented to .the annual meeting of members of the Takapuna Jockey Club, to be held on Wednesday, August 30, states that during the year spring and summer meetings were successfully held, each extending over two days. The stake money paid away amounted to £4760, an average of £1190 per day. The revenue account, after making an allowance of £1893 for depreciation on buildings, etc., and after writing off long-standing accounts amounting to £210, showed a credit balance of £139 4/4 to be carried forward. The properties and buildings of the club were all in good order and condition. The track had also been well maintained and was in excellent order. Four vacancies occurred on the committee by the retirement of Messrs. J. Mays, J. N. Heslop, R. A. Spinley and L. Gannon. The following members had been nominated to fill the vacancies. Messrs. J. N. Heslop. J. W. Hardley, F. W. Thorne and C. E. Major, and these would be duly elected.
