IMPASSE REACHED.
British and Russian Trade Discussions. DUMPING OP TIMBER. (Received 10.30 a.m.) LONDON, August 13. It is understood that an impasse has been reached in the trade discussions between Britain and Russia. The Russians want a new treaty enabling them to dump timber regardless of quantity or price, and this has been refused. It is likely that Russia will yield as she cannot afford to lose the British market.
