GISBORNE, Saturday.
In wintry weather with a bitterly cold wind and occasional showers,' the annual meeting of the Poverty Bay Hunt Club was held on the Park racecourse to-day. The going was very good for the winter season, in spite of the recent heavy rains. The totalisator handled £2904, compared with £3799 last year.
Million (Awapiini Hurdles) and Brown Abbey (Whatatutu Hack) were the opening victors. Later results: —
