WINOOKA IN AMERICA.
TO RACE IN CHICAGO. A SERIES OF MATCHES. SAN FRANCISCO, August 5. The Australian racehorse Winooka, bound for Chicago with the possibility of a match race with Equipoise, will leave here on Monday. Mr. W. A. McDonald, part owner of Winooka, to-day denied reports that the horse was to be taken to Seattle. He said the champion would go immediately to the Hawthorne track, Chicago, for a serie6 of match races, the climax to which, if the hopes materialise, would be a test against Equipoise.
