CULTURED GENIUS. (Received 10.30 a.m.) MADRID, June 11. The career of a youthful prodigy was terminated when "Hildejjart Rodriguez, a notable writer and reformer, aged I!), ■was shot dead by her mother, aged 00, who surrendered herself to the police. Haveloek Ellis, writing in the "Adelphi Magazine," extols the amazing talent of the girl whom he styles "Saint Hildegart," owing to her pioneering spirit in the cause of humanity. The mother was a remarkable woman and reared her daughter cugenically, and without baptism or religious instructions. Hildegart, whom the mother taught, could make words with letter-blocks at 11 months of age, coukl read at 22 months and write at 30 months. She went to the university in her thirteenth year and wrote prize essays on the world's famous lovers at 14. She secured her law degree at 17 and studied medicine, philosophy and music.
