SPEEDWELL OIL CASE.

PRODUCTION OF DOCUMENTS. SOLICITOR GIVES EVIDENCE. The thirteenth day of the Speedwell Oil case was entered upon this morning at the Supreme Court. A claim is made by 49 shareholders in the company for £4033 from Harry Clinton McEhvain, a former director in the company, the plaintiffs alleging certain statements contained in the prospectus to be untrue. Mr. Justice Smith is oil the Bench, Mr. Gould and Mr. Dyson arc counsel for the plaintiffs, and Mr. Weston and Mr. Goldstinc appear for the defendant. Continuing hie evidence-in-chief to-day, Frank Massey, solicitor, said that in 110 way did McEhvain hamper the production of documents after the order of discovery.
