"GOOD, CLEAN FIGHT?"
TWO CHINESE ACQUITTED. "It was a good clean fight," said a European witness during the hearing of charges of fighting brought against two Chinese, Wong Quan Hing and William Chan, in the Police Court this morning. Howevar, in the next breath he admitted thf.t one Celestial pulled the other's mouth and jumped on his back. Mr. J. J. Sullivan appeared for Chan and Mr. Giesen for Hing. Both denied the charges. After much evidence had been heard, including four Chinese, who gave their evidence through an interpreter, the magistrate dismissed the charges against both men.
