FAILED TO REGISTER.
QUESTION Or PRINTING PRESS. "There does not appear to be any suggestion of any illicit business as the. company has always registered under the Factories Act," said Mr. W. R. McKean, S.M., in the Police Court this morning, fining the Queen City Press, Ltd., £5 and costs on a charge of having an unregistered printing press. The managing director of the firm attended, and entered a plea of guilty. He explained that although he had been on business for a number of years he did |iot know that he was bound to register the printing press in the Supreme Court. He produced documents showing that he {Vad registered the press with other government departments. As soon as he (became aware of his position he immediately complied with the law.
