ONEHUNGA RELIEF.
Tho Onehunga Relief Committee, consisting of representatives, of the churches and other organisations, lias, decided to disband, with a view to amalgamation with the Auckland Metropolitan Committee. It is thought that a greater degree of uniformity in the distribution of relief will bi> obtained by so doing. It was pointed out when this decision was reached at the meeting of the relief committee, that other suburban boroughs had benefited by amalgamation with the city, and thero was no valid reason why Onehunga should stand alone any longer. As tho Mayor, Mr. E. Morton, is a member of the Metropolitan Committee, it was decided that in the meantime all local relief should bo administered by tho Onehtmga Borough Council, assisted hy Mesdames D. Cuthbert, I. J. G. Neill and Messrs. J. E. Green,. S. .Vella and. J. Boland,
