WATER FOR DUNEDIN.
SCHEME HELD TJP BY SNOW. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.)' DUNEDIN, this day. Heavy enow having fallen on the Otago Central mountains earlier than usual, the Public Works Department has been compelled to stop the scheme for increasing the supply of water from the Poolburn irrigation dam next summer. The work is only half completed, and a gang of 100 men employed on the scheme is to be transferred elsewhere.
