VICTORIA LEAGUE.

In order to obtain funds for postage on tlio parcels of books sent to the back-block schools, and to settlers, the literature committee of tho Victoria League held a successful bridge party in their rooms yesterday afternoon. Miss Fenton, the chairman, was assisted by Mrs. W. Johnston, convener. Members of the literature committee, and some of the house committee were the hostesses. The prizes were won by Mrs. J.
