POSTAL BALLOT TO BE TAKEN
In connection with the annual meeting of the Auckland Returned Soldiers' Association, to be held on April 27, the election of officers for the year will be held by postal ballot, papers to be returned by noon on April 24. These are now being posted to all financial members.
A number of candidates for office have either withdrawn or their nominations were not in order. There will be no election for vice-presidents, as there are now only three nominations for the same number of vacancies, Messrs. J. W. Kendall, H. J. Aekins, and A. West being returned. Messrs. H. M. Clark and A. P. Postlewaite are the only nominations for treasurer. There are 21 candidates for 12 vacancies on tha committee.
