CHILD KILLED.
RUN OVER BY TRUCK.
GREY LYNN ACCIDENT.
An eight-year-old girl, Nancy Joy Cross, the daughter of Mrs. H. Cross, of 90, Williamson Avenue, was run over and killed by a motor truck in Williamson Avenue, Grey Lynn, at four o'clock yesterday afternoon. The child, who was crossing the road, is reported to have run in front of the lorry. The driver, Mr. Robert Meels, applied the brakes immediately, but he was not able to bring the truck to a standstill in time to prevent one of the rear wheels passing over ,tlio child's head. She was killed instantly.
