RACE TO COROMANDEL. 22 BOATS' START TO-NIGHT. The annual; yacht race from Auckland to Coromandel will • start this evening off the King's wharf at 8 o'clock. The boats have been divided into three classes, keel, 20 to 26-footers, and 16 and 18-£ooters, all starting together. - The -wind has been about east north-east for several days, backing to south-east each night. Mr. Vincent, the local meteorologist, predicts a continuance of easterly weather and generally fine, with showers in the gulf and harder winds further north. A regatta will be held off the Coromandel wharf: on Saturday. A number of boats are making for Coromandel in addition to those taking part in the races. The entries and handicaps closed at noon to-day, and the following handicaps have been declared by Mr. Wilkinson. Keel.
