CIVIC'S ARLISS FILM.
"THE KING'S VACATION."
All the artistry of _ George _ Arliss. veteran English actor, is contained in "The King's Vacation,"' which will head the special Easter programme to begin a season at the Civic Theatre on Saturday. Those who saw the actor in "Disraeli," "The Green Goddess," "Old English," "The Millionaire," "Alexander Hamilton," "The Man Who Played God," and "A Successful Calamity" will not miss his most recent film, appearance.
"The King's Vacation" is _an entertaining film with an elusive charm, dealing with the adventures of a king who forsakes his royal estate and takes a holiday, incognito, among his people. The story has been fashioned in a novel and sympathetic manner and is one of the best productions to come from the Warner Bcothers and Vitaphone studios. Outstanding supporting attractions will be screened, including a Fox news reel, a travelogue, and a musical film. In "The King's Vacation" George Arliss is fortunate in the calibre of the supporting players, whose splendid acting is embellished by sympathetic direction and unique photography.
