HARBOUR BOARD.
CHAIRMAN ANNOUNCES RETIREMENT. Mr. G. R. Hutchinson, who h»s been for 21 1 years a member of the Auckland Harbour Board, and for the past two years its chairman, announces his retirement. On the expiration of the present term he- will not seek re-election. Mr. Hutchinson has given long and valuable service to harbour affairs, and present members have strongly urged that he should undertake a further term, but at-a meeting yesterday he stated that his decision was final. Mr. Hutchinson has nominated Mr. Ernest Davis for a seat on the board.
