GLEN EDEN TOWN BOARD.

The Glen Eden Town Board met last evening, Mr. A. J. Routley presiding. The following members were present: Messrs. Dorn, Ambler, Rosier, Bond, Snowdep and J. Belsham (new "member). The chairman briefly welcomed the new town clerk, Mr. C. R. Wilkinson. v > - Recreation Ground; —Messrs.- W. Clark and J. Elshaw, on behalf of ths Glen Ora Football Club, requested that the recreation ground be put in order for the coming season. The works committee was given power to act. Hall Charges.—The West Suburbs R.S.A. was >jranted a rebate of 17/6 of the charge for use of the hall, at the recent reunion. Anzac Day.—The Auckland City Council wrote requesting the board to take over the arrangements for the observance of Anzac Day at the Waikumete Cemetery. The chairman and town, clerk were appointed to make the arrangements, in co-operation with the president of the Western Suburbs R.S:A., Mr. R. W. Wise. Kearon's Bridge.—The engineer (Mr. Murray) reported that the work _on Kearon's bridge was completed. The'clerk was instructed to arrange-with the boards solicitor for . the raising of' £100 to complete payments on the bridge.' ' 1 Retiring Clerk.—lt was . decided t° notify the retiring town clerk, Mr, W. Croucher, that his services would cease on' May 6 (last'- Thursday) and leave of absence on full pay would be granted to that date.
