ONEHUNGA BUILDING SOCIETY.

Reference to the stringency of the present financial position and the unsettled state of the property market was contained in the report presented at the 59th annual meeting of the Onehunga Perpetual Land, Building and Investment Society held last night. Mr. H. J. Da- ies presided.

The directors reported that they had followed a very conservative policy, considering loans only when there was ample security. The assets of the society remained in a satisfactory position. A dividend of 5i per cent was declared.

The retiring president and vicepresident, Messrs. H. J. Davies and J. Bobb, were re-elected, as also were the retiring directors, Messrs. I. J. Sutherland, Geo. Vause and M. Itobb.

The directors were voted the usual honorarium of £300 and thanked for their services, as also was the secretary, Mr. N, A. Ching.
