Wilkie: president, Dr. S. H'. Hay; vice-presidents, Messrs. K. Roe and E. la Trobe Hill : vlooeaptain, Mr. A. Wulden ; committee, Messrs. 0 Young, T. Kelly, H. Fenton, B. Barker, H. Hamilton, A. V. P. Ford. The openinir day was fixed for Saturday. April 1, when mixed foursomes will be played, members (o choose their own partners. KIRKWOOD'S GREAT EFFORT. NEW YORK, March 29. At Pinehurst, North Carolina, J. H. Kirkwood, formerly of Australia, won the North nnd South open golf championship (72 holes) with a remarkable 277—six under par. Harry Cooper -wan second with 252. Hagen was well behind with 205.
